Performance Summary
The Nike S.T. Charge delivers reliable traction and outdoor durability, with poor ventilation and mixed cushioning and fit feedback.
Pros
Reliable indoor and outdoor traction
Durable outsole for outdoor play
Cons
Poor ventilation and heat buildup
Snug fit can feel short and restrictive
Best Suitable For: Best for players who prioritize outdoor durability and dependable grip over a light, airy feel.
Category Performance Ratings
9.0
Traction
Reviewers consistently praise the grip on clean and dusty courts. Occasional wiping keeps the herringbone outsole biting, and it also performs well outdoors.
7.3
Cushion
Cushlon 3.0 and forefoot Zoom offer a grounded ride. Some reviewers find it comfortable with adequate protection, while others report limited bounce and impact protection.
7.5
Materials
The reinforced mesh and rubber wrap feel durable and add structure, but also add weight. Poor ventilation and heat buildup are recurring complaints; one reviewer reported a broken eyelet.
7.3
Support
Feedback is mixed: some reviewers praise containment and heel lockdown, while another reports weak torsional stability and arch support. Secure padding does not guarantee a stable ride for every foot.
7.3
Fit
A padded, close-fitting upper provides a snug feel, but some reviewers find the shoe short, narrow, or low-volume. Heel fit and comfort vary with foot shape.
100%
Outdoor
Reviewers who address outdoor use praise the outsole's grip and durability. It is a strong point of the shoe, although weight, ventilation, and cushioning may limit its appeal.
small
large
Sizing
Most reviewers suggest true to size for a snug fit, with a half size up for extra room or wider feet. One tester found it particularly short, so sizing feedback is not uniform.
narrow
wide
Width
The standard fit is generally snug or narrow, especially at the rear foot. Wider feet may need extra room; the EP version was reported to fit wider.

Overall, the S.T. Charge is a solid, fun performer with good traction, comfortable Cushlon 3.0 cushioning, and reliable support. My main issues are the price for an outdoor shoe and a quality issue where an eyelet popped on the third wear.

Final verdict: the Nike S.T. Charge is a very capable shoe for the price. It has solid support and traction, but it's heavy and not particularly outstanding. I prefer the Sabrina 2s and 3s for weight and cushioning, but this is a solid option.

The Nike S.T. Charge is a durable, wide shoe with reliable traction and responsive but minimal cushioning. Support is average, and it plays a bit heavier. It's great for outdoor use, though there are other options I'd pick first.

The Nike S.T. Charge has potential and is great for grounded footwork, but there are too many downsides. Breathability is poor, the midsole collapses at lift-off, and the fit is narrow. I can't fully recommend them over the Nike S.T. Flare.

On clean courts, the traction is really, really good. It bites hard and only needs a quick wipe on dusty courts.

The herringbone traction works pretty well. I didn't have to wipe much, and it gripped the court even in a dusty gym.

The cushioning is pretty good. There's an initial heel clunk, but once it settles, you get soft Cushlon 3.0 comfort. There is some bounce and adequate impact protection.

It uses a Cushlon 3.0 drop-in with a big Zoom Turbo in the forefoot. It's responsive, but drop-ins feel a bit muted compared to a traditional midsole.

The cushioning is pretty minimal and low to the ground despite the forefoot Zoom. It's fast and responsive but lacks impact protection for bigger players.

The Cushlon 3.0 with a bottom-loaded Zoom feels elastic on paper, but on foot, there's no real bounce. The shoe bends and collapses under load, so don't expect springy responsiveness.

The monster skin rubber wrap feels durable. It's not super premium but adds structure. The neoprene tongue is padded enough so laces don't dig in.

The uppers are substantial and well-made, but breathability is essentially non-existent. The rubber wrap traps heat and moisture, which is disappointing.
