A fast, continuous three-point shooting drill for groups of three with two balls. Every shooter chases down their own rebound, so it builds conditioning along with catch-and-shoot rhythm. Steve Fisher runs it as a timed, competitive shooting drill.
Setup:
Groups of three spread around the three-point line, with two balls per group. 2 starts at the top with a ball, 3 on the wing with a ball and 1 on the opposite wing without one.
Rules:
2 passes to 1 for a three. 1 rebounds their own shot, passes to the open player (the one without a ball) and sprints to a new spot outside the three-point line. Every shooter does the same, so both balls keep moving. Each group counts its made threes out loud. Play for a set time, such as 30 seconds or 2 minutes, and the group with the most makes wins.
Coaching points:
  • Rebound your own shot every time.
  • Pass to the player without a ball.
  • Pick a different spot after every shot.
  • Count makes out loud.
